2016 Buffalo
2016 Buffalo

Composition: 100% Cinsault

Nose (aromas): Fresh rose petal, green tobacco, satsuma plum, spice

Flavor (palette): Pomegranate, black pepper, strawberry rhubarb

Winemaker’s Notes: Drink slightly chilled! This wine is perfect for casual evenings, appetizers, or just sipping on the front/back porch with friends. Don't think too hard about this one - with its fresh flavor, spice, and acidity, this wine will pair well with most light to medium bodied foods. Use this bottle to test your friends on their blind tasting skills, no doubt you will have them “buffaloed!”

Ageing Potential: Now - 2020

Additional Notes: Cinsault (Cinsaut) is a Rhone varietal, whose origin can be placed in the Languedoc-Roussillon area of Southern France. It grows big bunches with big berries, and is mostly used in blending, hence the reason most are not familiar with the single varietal wine. It is often used for aromatic Rose’s and lighter reds. Fun Fact: in 2008, there were only 115 acres of Cinsault planted in California!
